Name three things that makes Picture It different?
We sculpt the light at all our events and not just portraits but at conferences, events and photo-calls. This provides us with more dynamic images.
We shoot quality video clips that don't cost a fortune. The video consists of the client explaining what the event is about. We edit it with some other clips from the event and add captions to it. The video can then be uploaded to social media and websites.
We can provide our clients with images seconds after they have been taken and tweaked in photoshop so they can upload them on to social media. It saves them using their phones to shoot something that will look a lot better taken professionally.
What happens when we book a job with Picture It?
We can brainstorm with you over the phone or we can schedule a meeting and help develop photo call concepts weeks before the event begins or we can just arrange to meet you at the event. It is up to you.
What photography gear does Picture It bring to events? We bring at least two camera bodies, three or four if its an all day event. We bring at least four lenses ranging from 11mm - to 300 mm and from F1.4 to F32 in range. We have four flash guns and softboxes, snoots and spill kills to sculpt the light around the subject(s). We have plenty more gear to bring if required but that covers most of the shoots we photograph.
Does Picture It shoot video?
Yes.
We shoot video clips for clients that they can use on social media. We shoot using an iphone or a camera with a mic attached and then we use a gimble to shoot some additional ‘B” footage. The clips are edited to 30 - 120 second and captions are added so people can view the video clips with the audio turned off - for some examples see here.
Does Picture It travel?
Yes we travel anywhere around the country and have covered events in the UK for some clients.
What if you are not available to cover a job - what protections do I have that my event will be covered by a photographer?
We are part of a syndicate that contains eight other Pr and Commercial photographers. We are in weekly contact with each other to ensure that all our events are covered.
If I want Picture It to issue pictures to the media where do the images go?
For a typical one hour photocall, we issue between 4 - 10 images to the national newspapers. We can decide prior to the event, when and where we are issuing and whether any newspapers or online sites require an exclusive image.
Does Picture It issue pictures to regional papers?
Yes, we do and we would agree where the images need to be distributed to prior to the event. We have a full up to date database of all the regional papers in Ireland and if we can link anything from the event to another part of the country then we will issue images to those counties.
Does Picture It issue pictures to websites?
Yes, we can issue images to online sites when we are issuing to nationals or we can hold off issuing until the national papers have gone to press.
Does Picture It Photography ring up the picture desks to confirm receipt of images?
Yes, we ring up all the national picture desks so to confirm receipt. This is very important as desks will get an average of 8,000 images a day sent to them. By talking to the picture editors, we ensure that our images have been received and reviewed.
How do you process our images?
Your images are processed in Lightroom or Photoshop and then uploaded to a private server. You receive a link and a password to access the images. The same Images are given to you in four folders, high / medium / low and black and white resolution. You simply click on which folder you would like to download. The image sizes are explained to you also.
Is retouching available?
We can, if requested tweak images to brighten teeth, remove lines etc. We can subtly enhance an image into the most flattering natural presentation possible. We can also provide extensive photoshop if required.
Can you come to our office for shoots?
We can bring our studio to you. Our travel kit includes all lighting, background colours and photography accessories that are required to create a photography studio.
